Headliner: Kareem Parkins-Brown
Kareem Parkins-Brown is a writer and visual artist. He is a proud northwest Londoner and Barbican Young Poet alumnus, and won the Roundhouse Poetry Slam in 2019. He is happiest when watching Mean Girls or Carlito's Way. He was shortlisted for Young People's Laureate for London and the Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship in 2019. His work concerns nostalgia, grief, surrealism and hood life circa 2005 - present day.
Also featuring: Oshanti Ahmed
Oshanti Ahmed is a Bengali poet by the way of South London. She is a current member of the Southbank New Poets Collective 2022/2023 and an alumnus of the Barbican Collective 2021/22, Roundhouse Poetry Collective 2018/19 and the Writing Room 2018/19. Her work has been featured on the FADER and BBC Radio 4 and she has performed both nationally and internationally including Brave New Voices, Brainchild Festival, Latitude and The Haye Festival.
Also featuring music from satchit
satchit is an up and coming artist from South London, bringing a new sound incorporating alternative R&B, electronic and various global musical elements. Since releasing his first EP, Glass, Satchit has been moving from strength to strength developing his personal style.
Incorporating his culture into his production and singing styles, a unique sound has formed, that has been recognised and played multiple times on BBC Asian Network.
